Forest vs. Watford preview..

This time last year Forest had drawn on the opening day with Reading, lost a match slightly unluckily, and faced Watford in their next game still seeking their first league win.  Weird, huh?  Watford have started the season similarly to us, they drew on the opening day and lost at the weekend – with a Carling Cup win in the middle.

Billy is left with the dilemma of whether to change a side that actually put in a very good performance against West Brom despite the unhappy scoreline.  An impactful performance from Dexter Blackstock will surely have him thinking, and penalty-miss aside, Robbie Earnshaw looked lively too – maybe a change of front line will be on the cards?

Although Billy might want to stick with Joe Garner, who will surely want to get one over on his former Carlisle teammate Danny Graham – who joined the Hornets in the summer.  He could well be the one to watch, netting on his debut against Doncaster – and indeed, currently Watford’s only league goal scorer so far this season.

The only team news of note is Garath McCleary picking up an injury and becoming a doubt – so with no recoveries and Chambers’ continued suspension, it’s likely the back line and midfield will look pretty much the same as at the weekend, with Cohen once again deputising as a left back.

I actually feel reasonably confident for this game – if Forest play in the same manner as they did against West Brom and are positive from the outset an early goal could see us drive for a comfortable win.  However, even though it’s only two games old, if we go much longer without scoring the pressure will start to build when chances infront of goal do present themselves.

It’s a good opportunity for Forest to get back infront of their own fans quickly and hopefully avenge a harsh defeat to the Baggies at the weekend.  Fingers crossed it’s an opportunity they take.

View ’em and weep.  Earnie’s penalty looked pretty bad live, but it’s even worse on the replay!  Or for those of you restricted by geography you may find the below helpful!  I’ve resisted watching them as it will only leave me feeling frustrated all over again!!
