It’s time for the BBC predictor widget..

I’m amazed it’s taken me this long to succumb to the charms of the BBC online League One predictor.  That said, it’s getting late and I’m about ready to hit the hay, so I only predicted until the end of March.  Admittedly, such things are meaningless – if I were any good at predicting football scores I’d be a rich man!

There’s the usual considerations to factor in – there will be the freak results that none of us predict, like Millwall actually winning a game, or Swansea losing – but I’ve tried to apply what limited knowledge I have and have come up with a surprisingly pleasing league table.  Obviously I’ve built in the necessary improvement in away form, which – resultswise at least – is yet to materialise.

So if you click the link above, you’ll be able to have a bash at it yourself – I think it’s quite interesting to see what you all come up with.  In my scenario, with five or six games to play, Swansea are runaway Champions, but the battle for automatic is still very much open – with us and Donny fighting it out – but the playoffs are open too with Walsall and Orient just sitting outside.

What does your league table look like?

  1. Oh my god it’s last season all over again. I can see it now………….

Forest go into the last game of the season needing to beat Yeovil and Cheltenham need to hold Doncaster or it’s the playoffs. Calderwood goes into the match with five defenders and Grolt as a lone striker.

Damn, that nervous twitch is back ,,,,,,*,,,,,,

    Where are me anti-depressants!!

  2. Your link takes you to the url of your image.

  3. I don’t need the BBC to predict the likely outcome. CC made a comment this week that he’d prefer to go to Orient in the play offs than Leeds…Hmmm.

  4. Thanks for that FedUpRed – I’ve fixed it now 🙂

  5. we will just about scrape into the playoffs only to be underdone by negative spineless tatics…see ya Calderwood (no improvement on last year despite investment)

  6. Carlisle home and away in the next two and a bit weeks plus Southend (away), Walsall and Donny (away) in March and you have us 2nd in the table? I guess you’re not as despondant as you come across.

  7. Sometimes you just have to be hopelessly optimistic! I did build in an improvement, obviously, which I dearly hope will come to pass… whether I *think* it will or not, I’m not quite so sure.

  8. *IF* we can take 4 points from Carlisle, beat Donny and win one of the other games then things *should* be back in our own hands. Right now, I couldn’t care less what goddamn formation we play nor who plays where, its wins and points that matter most.

  9. Good players come through no matter what tactics are used. we will be fine

  10. What does that say about the Forest lads then Regi ?
    Good players or not?

  11. Looking at all the fixtures for us,donny and carlisle we should finish in 2nd spot.I don’t think I could face the play offs again……………Keep the momentum going Forest PLEASE !!!!

  12. p.S where IS Agogo>??????

  13. Maybe he’s still road-testing that wife he was offered by a random Ghanian bloke?

  14. basically if they are as good as we hope they are then we will be promoted
