Eaden to stay an Imp?

Nicky Eaden apparently impressed in his Lincoln debut, a 3-1 victory over Accrington Stanley (more than we managed in the cup!), and has hinted he’d consider staying, given the unlikelihood of any forthcoming opportunities with Forest.

I feel a bit sorry for him, he was a hoofmeister of the highest order, so maybe he just didn’t have it in him to defy Megson’s instructions – certainly it surprised Wigan fans I’ve talked to when I described his awful style of play in a Forest shirt..

T’was in stoppage time when the tireless Grant Holt got a cross in from the left, Nicky Southall headed it square (at the time I was wondering why he didn’t go for goal!) to Neil Harris who thundered a ferocious volley into the net – cue mass celebrations with the whole team. I was thrilled for Harris, he’s been with us 21 months and finally scored, he’s worked very hard this season and it’s great to see him on the scoresheet.
