These are the various Forest related sites I’ve encountered in my internet travels – at least, they’re the ones I’ve looked at more than once, so I suppose that this is at least a limited form of recommendation!
Other Forest blogs – I’ve never really investigated other teams – but Forest seem to have a fair few bloggers out there!
| eighteensixtyfive | Rish and Rahoul have created a new blog and combine their take on goings on at the City Ground with the addition of podcasts following each home game – which as I type I’m really looking forward to hearing! |
| Just Got Back | Another new Forest blog! This one uses exquisite language and largely focuses on match reports and ratings, and amusing animated images involving a Moose!! |
| Mist Rolling In From The Trent | Dom is back with his take on what’s going down on Trentside! |
| Forest Feelings | A new blog from Hannah, who I’m pretty sure used to provide us with Forza Forest back in the day! |
| Never Trust a Hippy | A not-totally Forest-focused blog, but a great read and instigator of ‘Robbo Day’ |
| Forest Supporters’ Blog | A new fellow-WordPress using blogger is on the scene, it’s new and a mixture of news reporting along with opinion pieces by a number of columnists. |
| Lucky Col | Not wholly Forest, but there’s plenty there for Reds fans, including an amusing account of a meeting with Stan Collymore! |
| McGaribaldi | Another not-exclusively-Forest blog which is a great read – and also has an amusing Collymore-related account on there currently!! |
| Forest France | Une grande source de nouvelles pour les disciples français de la ForĂȘt! (With inherent apologies for my appalling French! ). |
Other content-driven Forest sites - sites containing the latest Forest news or opinion, from the serious to the downright surreal!
| Official website | It’s a nasty template-driven thing of horror much like every football league site – but it’s an invaluable source of news and ticket updates etc. |
| 3D City Ground | A 3d interactive computer model of our ground – ever wondered what it would be like to sit somewhere else? Wonder no longer!. |
| Forest Legends | Early days for this site, but still raised a few chuckles. Although how Rosario and Silenzi even qualify as nearly-men baffles me! Great fun. |
| Vital Forest | A combination of opinion articles, news and a fairly active forum pretty much makes up an accessible Forest online community. |
| Forest Online | A community-based portal with regularly updated articles, prediction leagues and a message board. |
| Stress and Pie | Irreverent and genius – a completely off the wall take on all matters Forest – not exactly news, not exactly match reports – just well, funny! |
| Forest on YouTube | A collection of Forest videos in either compilation or comedy form. |
| Bridport Red Archive | Invaluable collection of all manner of statistics and wonder – perfect for settling those niggling questions about past games! |
| Brian Clough tribute | The ultimate Brian Clough tribute site, and home of the Brian Clough statue fund’s activities. |
| Ken Smales Website | A brilliant source of old photos and facts – Ken is of course the former club secretary, and author of the Official Statistical History of Nottingham Forest |
| Latest News | NewsNow checks numerous websites (including this one!) for the latest Forest related news, and links to it on this page – very useful! |
| Forest Mugshot |
A community type site where members can ‘mugshot’ articles or pictures of interest. |
| Forest Webjam | A mixture of opinion pieces, match reports and a forum from another community-type offering. |
General Football Stuff – Things that might be useful or fun for football in general, often including Forest!
| Fan Chants | A collection of recordings of chants from football fans from round the UK, including Forest fans – which you can even download as mp3s for use as ringtones etc (for a fee) |
Forest forums - forums/message boards – this is where you can find a bit of interactive forum action, I don’t post on them generally, but like to read a couple. It’s not exhaustive though, I’ve only included the ones I tend to look at occasionally, along with a few first impressions.
| LTLF forum | If you can pick through the off-topic tangents then definitely the most accessible forum, also appears the busiest. |
| Forest forums |
Reasonably busy, VERY opinionated – but open to read for guests so can be a useful source of gossip. |
Nottingham websites- general interest to Nottinghamians, and may well contain a few bits and pieces about Forest along the way (in fact, most of them definitely do!)
| Left Lion | A portal of Nottinghamness, which also takes the form of a free newspaper available in a myriad of city centre outlets. Features yours truly as a Forest correspondant currently. |
| Left Lion blog |
The daily doings of Left Lion in blog form, irreverent takes on local news and sport as well as a general source of amusement. |
| BBC Nottingham | Good place to catch up with interviews you might’ve missed after games – as well as limited Forest news. |
| Nott’m Evening Post | Dreadful local rag, but often get exclusive interviews etc that can be useful or interesting – but always remember, they once claimed we were going to sign Roberto Baggio! |
I will update these links as I go – if you feel anything is urgently missing then please feel free to drop me an email. You could post a comment, but the anti-spam software might delete comments with internet addresses in them.

Hi
I’m a long-standing Forest supporter (from 1976) who spends most of his time these days trawling the lower leagues for new grounds (an addiction) so my Blog is more general than Forest-related.
However, I have just posted a Munich piece on my front page, which might be of interest.
I’m adding a link to your blog on my site. However, I am not asking you to reciprocate.
Cheers
Chris
