Adebola...I've just heard an unsubstantiated rumour that he has just passed a medical at Forest despite reservations on an old knee injury.

All the decent, young fit strikers out there and we go for an old guy with a bad knee. Ho hum

I think we will get Jones,Anderson,Camp and Blackstock.
Not sure whether he will bring in gunter on loan as he wants to develop a long term back four...Shame.
Wilson certainly needs replacing.
Lynch is worth signing just for his runs and crosses. A good player for the squad. Lets see. Sheff Wed can´t afford adebola´s wage demands so lets see on him.
I think qpr will get their new manager in place before any decision is made re. Camp and Blackstock, but I think they will both make it clear that they would both be happy to come here.

Lots of stories, as you say NFFC, but little to really consider until the signatures are on the contracts. BD is looking to tie down Cohen which is good news. We certainly don't want to lose him though nobody seems to have come knocking. Jones would be a great addition though talk in the papers today is for Michael Mills from Doncaster who is allegedly the best defender outside the premiership. We'll see about that one too. Lee Croft from Norwich was tauted as a good winger we were interested in. Could they still be looking at him? If I were him, I wouldn't fancy a year or more in League 1.

Ryan, I think you are a little extreme though I understand your points. I also think Chambers, in a central role where he is much more suited could work. The little he has played there gives me confidence. He has shown more nouse than Wilson in the center. Gunter, Blackstock, Osbourne and Lynch (I know many disagree but he has vastly improved) should really be top priorities. And Camp to come back and a few more as yet un-rumoured signings would see us with a pretty good squad.

Definitely think with a good pre-season and an injury free run, Anderson would be excellent. Martinez coming back again says it all, even more so considering the season the Swans had. If we're not going to look across Europe, or they're struggling to identify viable options, then he would be a class addition, and 1m doesn't seem to be paying over the odds considering the dearth of technically gifted wingers available in the UK.
Rob Jones is a man-mountain, and I'm confident after the last round of the SPL a deal will be in place for him. Would be a perfect signing, should get the bandwagon rolling if signed up early and show our intent for the new season.
Gone a little quiet on Gunter, I guess that will be resolved after the Premiership is done, but truly hoping we can get him, and no qualms about a season long loan.
Really think we could get Fabio daSilva on loan for a season from United. He was Captain and Top-Scorer for Brazil in the World U-17's recently, looked good in the FA semi, has a great engine, touch and intelligence, but probably isn't ready for their first team. He'd make a fantastic alternative to Benno at LB. He'd be a much better proposition to Lynch in my opinion, even with the latter's improvement.
We should at least make an approach to Graeme Murty for a trial after being released by Reading, he's just come back from a long-term injury, but he is certainly of a higher quality than Chambers and fits the bill perfectly as far as experience is concerned. If we don't get Gunter, then I'd be happy to go into the season with Murty and Moloney fighting for RB, with chambers in a taxi leaving.
So many possibles to discuss, I could be here all night. In my opinion we need a GK to provide competition for PS, 2 CB's, preferably both to be in the first team immediately, a LB, 2 wingers, a CM and a target man.
I know I keep banging on but we must find at least one player from the east bloc or scandinavia this summer, they're there and attainable.

Makes little sense in building a 50,000+ stadium away from the CG for max 3 games in the WC. I'd much prefer a 35/40k capacity in a steep, close & intimidating atmosphere.

Really hoping for a Burnley win. Can't stand Sheff Utd, and I've a lot of respect for Owen Coyle. They'll get crucified in the Premier League though.

West Brom have had 3 promotions and 3 relegation in 7 years, just seems silly, don't know whether to lust for it or dread it. If there is one thing I agree with BD on, is that the transfer business needs to be finished with asap, so hope is the name of the game, hoping I'm not left devastated again

I guess something to remember is that no-one has actually started buying anyone yet, so at the moment it is all rumour.

BD has said that he wants to keep all the loanees and has stated that he is talking to the various clubs, but when does the "transfer window" actually open - is it 1st June or 1st July?

Whichever it is, presumably we can only start to really discuss business at that point?

Just a note on the England world cup bid. The article I read today had no mention of the sheep dip or Walkers bowl being considered for this. It does however mention a 45k capacity stadium in Nottingham that would be a candidate. It says 'improved City Ground' but is clearly referring to the proposed new stadium at Clifton...

I think we'd have seen more of him with an extended run in the team under Davies, and indeed Smoulderwood.

His injury was very disruptive. Hear what you're saying though, and I imagine Davies and co will have an idea as to what they think his actual value is.

I'd like to see him back.

I really dont see what the fuss is about Anderson, yes he worked hard and didnt give the ball away cheaply but he didnt score anything like the 11 goals he did for swansea in division 3, nor did he put in anything like the number or quality of crosses lynch did, and he's a defender.

That's not to say he is a bad player, and worth a six figure sum, but nothing like top end million pound mark. Useful addition to the squad, maybe without the injuries that dogged last season, we'll (or i'll) see a better return.
