During his position of man on the gate at the CG, his pinnacle (as legend has it) was turning away Howard Kendall for a mid week reserve game when he polled up in his motor without a parking pass and proclaimed’ do you know who I am?” for Terry to respond – ‘Yes, and your still not coming in!’
