If Frank or David are reading – I have a suggestion for a third iteration of ‘Three Lions’. Yes, I’m still angry, and still bored!
We’re staying home, we’re staying home
We’re staying – England’s staying homeWe’re staying home, we’re staying home
We’re staying – England’s staying homeEveryone surely knew the score
McClaren is a bore
We just knew
Were so sure
That England’s gonna throw it away
Gonna blow it away
Lamps and Gerrard can’t play
And we rememberCrouchie on his own
Macca’s teeth still gleaming
Relying on Israel
England leave us screamingSo many jokes, so many sneers
They’ve fulfilled all our fears
In one night
At Wem-bley
I still see the first goal Kranjcar scored
Olic rolling it home
Petric belting the ball
And Carson helplessCrouchie on his own
Macca’s teeth still gleaming
Relying on Israel
England leave us screamingI know that was then,
But it could be againWe’re staying home, we’re staying home
We’re staying, England’s staying homeWe’re staying home, we’re staying home
We’re staying, England’s staying homeThree lions on a shirt
Jules Rimet much faded
McClaren, Barwick f**k off
Lest we get more jaded.
Hmm, there’s a reason why I’ve never made millions as a song writer! Amends welcome!

I’m impressed!!As you hint it’s not just Maclaren, Sack ALL the old farts on the F.A board .Bring in someone like Bobby Charlton who wore the England shirt with such pride, and let him with maybe Alan Shearer choose a new board. The currrent board should all resign now !!!!
The whole board resign?????? And miss out on all those free meals and perks???? Yeah right!
An excellent update of 3 Lions NFFC!
As I live quite close to London, I have been to many of the recent games at New Wembley, including last night, which was a thoroughly depressing experience. Aside from the football, I feel very strongly about the logistical nightmare that is getting to and from the place.
Yes the stadium is breathtaking, but our train to Wembley Stadium station last night (when they are expecting 90,000 fans) only had 2 carriages on it and we were all crammed in like sardines. One woman collapsed and had to be carried off. And getting away from the place afterwards just beggars belief – you queue for hours and hours.
Also there is a severe lack of security inside the stadium. The stewards search very few people going in there and it would be an easy target for terrorists.
Some massive improvements are required both on and off the pitch!
I too have joined the scrum on Wembley Way since the new ground was built – and yes, it was rather irritating, to say the least!
That said, the time I went they did all the ‘holding up’ on the Way itself, once we got past the last set of police horses the station had been kept pretty clear, as were the trains – so it was okay then.
It is a nightmare to get to and from though. Improvements on the pitch, off the pitch – and let’s face it, the pitch itself!
Agreed. All that fuss our press made about the plastic pich in Moscow and it was fine.
We spend 800m on a sadium with a roof and forget to close it when it rains!!!
I didn’t think Wembley had a roof? I know the Millennium Stadium has one…
It doesn’t have a roof, just over the seats.
There is no facility to add one either.
They just have that daft arch is all.
I wonder if they will decide to put a roof on the Capital One arena. Preferably one low enough to stop the players from hoofing the ball.
