Indeed, we have had a spate of sh*te managers (Paul Hart was the last of any note) and a Chairman who is not exactly open to risk but we are where we deserve to be. The big teams in the world have obvious talent but they work b*st*rd hard to be successful. Forest on the other hand haven't worked very hard at all over the last 4 seasons, not since Sheffield Utd knocked us out of the playoffs. Smoulds now has most of the people he wants (possibly not but they didn't want to come) and after 2 difficult games and a mediocre one (though Bournemouth have not done us any favours over the last few seasons, they certainly haven't been easy to beat) the efforts and quality of our team, possibly on show in the last game and a half, will start to pay off. Christmas is only 16 weeks away when we will have a better view of things. Then we can call for change (since it's a bit late now). Love your posts NFFC. Uuuu Reeddsss!!!!

Lads oh lads oh lads. I do wish you'd stop all this "Doughty out" nonsense. Have a look at the Clubs accounts, they are not difficult to check. We (the club) owe Doughty and his Company an absolute fortune, which unless a foreign multi-millionaire decides to pay off we cant afford to. Our Forest will be bankrupt, in administration and the way Mark Arthur performs probably 10 points down in Division 3 due to mis-management.

Of course hardly anyone wants to play for us, they probably read the papers and 'net and think that every mis-placed pass will be booed. Despite the fact that those that do criticise the team are probably just following the example of Joe Dickhead 3 rows back who is in actual fact frustrated at CCs tactics, or lack of them.

Come on guys, surely the Leeds game and way we outplayed Leicester have given us hope for the future? Plus the fact I would rather put my faith in the likes of a hungry young reserve who is desperate to prove himself than an old overweight overpaid prime donna.

Rant over.

Watch us trounce Rovers later!!

Don't worry, chaps, it'll all be OK come 5 o'clock today. First win of the season, no doubt. Just remember how we played against Leicester - with that play we can destroy the pirates, or my name's not Colin Calderwood. Oh shit...it isn't.

I'm actually getting paranoid now...... Does NO ONE actually want to come to Forest as a loan player???

McGoldrick - Port Vale or Forest? Playing in front of a few measley thousand or a chance at the CG? No brainer surely????? Apparently not....! The NEP says its to do with the level of "tranfer fee" if we decide we wanted to keep him. I say let him come and earn his corn first and then worry about that later.

With Junior off travelling, Tyson and Holt no where near 100% fit (and I'm seriously concerned that Tyson is injury prone) so that leaves us.....Dobbin!

Jeeeeeeeeesusssss!!!

Hartson would tear this league apart, and despite being 5000 stone in weight he's the link up man we need, now we're stuck having our strikers with pace dragging themselves wide to put crosses into the box with no1 there!

The more I think about it, the more I think you're right (although someone else who actually wants to play wide right would be nice, too).

However, inevitably when the hint of transfer activity is dropped we get excited, and it's frustrating when it doesn't happen for whatever reason. Losing out on a player to Port Vale is rather distressing, but I guess if McGoldrick doesn't fancy the challenge of earning a first team place, then perhaps he wasn't the man for us anyway.

Too be honest do we really need anyone else? Selling Dobie would have been ideal for both and maybe a striker, however surely we have enough now with what we have got.

So glad we didn't sign John Hartson, waste of time and money.
