From being in the ground and what I have read in previous posts it was quite obviously a distressing situation for all those in the away dressing room. I for one would find it extremly difficult to get on with the job in hand if I had seen one of my colleagues revived in front of me. Also given what happened over the weekend to the Seville player, abandonment was the right decision.
Get well soon Clive.

As for the football - the best I have seen from Forest in a while, attacking, flowing and creating chances. Bodes well for the rest of the season especially when we get a first choice team out.

As i've said on another story, I, along with many other true Forest fans, wish Clive all the best. Shame the match had to be abandoned, especially as we were 1-0 up, but it sounded pretty serious so was probably the right decision.

No-one should be too hard on the fans that behaved badly. We are local rivals after all and like you say it was most probably complete ignorance rather than idiocy.

I'm reminded of Hillsborough where many thousands of us sang songs that were innapropriate before we realised what was really happening. Let's all pray that the player makes a full recovery.

Hmm, maybe I'm a bit heartless but I think abandoning a game if the player is conscious is over-reacting. Fair enough, I don't know all the facts and of course i don't wish ill of any player in those circumstances. But didn't Leicester take any subs? Wouldn't the incident have served to galvanise the rest of their team?
No, I'm sorry but Forest and Leicester have set a dangerous precedent here.

For the record, we have begun to play the sort of football I have been paying to watch at last. Quick, incisive passing into feet, attacking down the flanks...2nd half v Leeds and tonight have given me optimism for the rest of the season. Keep it up Colin, and I may just change my mind about you!

Wel done Forest fan, we may be big rivals but from what I heard from a City insider the dressing room was a distressing place to be for a while . I hope both sets of fans there wish him a speedy recovery. With neilLennon in charge you have a great chance of bouning up, for us he was superb

Hate to say it but have a lot of respect for the way F****t have responded. I heard on BBC Leicester that Clarke was given mouthto nouth resuscitation and paramdeics used the defibrulator to revive. So no way players could play after seeing that. But appreciate the response of the club and the fans.

I, too, would like to wish Mr Clarke a speedy recovery. The BBC site says the Leicester players were traumatised by the incident, and I guess that's not unreasonable. In that situation it is right to abandon the match.

I must say, though, from what I could see this was the best Forest have played this season. I can't say we dominated the half, but we ceratinly had the majority of the play, and on chances created could have gone in 6-2 at half time. As it was, I thought we were well worth the lead, and I was worried that 1-0 is never enough, and after Saturday's disaster we needed to double our lead.

This bodes well for the rest of the season - I thought we were starting to gel really well at times, and actually played as a team, instead of just the long-hoof stuff of last season. The pressure that lead to the goal was good - you could sense it coming, although I agree that Mr Flappy in goal certainly helped our cause. If we ever get a full squad to chose from, with competition for places, we are going to be a tough team to beat this season.

One thing, Mark Arthur - please put a paragraph in Grant Holt's contract that he's not allowed to argue with referees - it is just so annoying. He's actually quite a good player, and if he put more effort into timing his runs and less into complaining he'd do us all a big favour.

On the fans unrest at the delay: Just how stupid are some people? It became obvious that something was wrong - how many matches have you been to where there was a delay of more than a minute to the second half? Ref's are not allowed to over-run the half time break. It's not as though the players are likely to sit back and say "Another scone anyone? Let's not rush back onto the pitch, eh, another five minutes should do it." For the sake of 5 minutes patience it would have been a nicer atmosphere all round.
