I’m not normally one to jump on relatively unsubstantiated rumours, but this one generally won’t go away - and I’ve spotted suggestion from fans of Yeovil that it may be true. Certainly both players, particularly Davies, impressed mightily against us in the playoff games - and the general feeling amongst the Glovers supporters seems to be disappointment.
Certainly a swoop for two young players (we were rumoured to be interested in Cohen whilst he was still only on loan at Yeovil if I remember rightly) would be a very positive move. I’m not sure what their contract situations are, but since Cohen at least has only been a permanent Yeovil player for a season, I imagine he has at least a couple of years on his contract, so the £1m for the pair seems realistic - it also seems like ‘unrefusable’ type money for Yeovil.
So, if it’s true - fantastic! Players who actually are attack-minded midfielders - who’d have thunk it, eh? Depending on the outcome of the ongoing saga of Didier Agathe who I presume is still on trial with us, it makes for a few really good additions potentially, and - dare I say it - a real statement of intent from Forest for the coming season. Of course, they actually have to sign now - this is nothing more than me relaying a few rumours I’ve heard from a number of places, don’t forget!
But anyway, it’s about time we had a decent rumour round here, isn’t it?

You’re right NFFC, I meant Davies was the player who tore us to pieces, not Cohen.
Although reading through the Yeovil website link above, their fans seem to think more of Cohen than Davies.

How often are the cameras at Yeovil exactly?! If this rumour is true, lets hope this is just sour grapes talking and Davies plays like he did against us every week!

The carrot crunching post is saying the pair are having medicals in Nottingham today. I’d love it if we sign these two, if only to such up the constant winging about Doughty’s “lack of investment”.

I met CC yesterday at the city ground and he seemed very pleased to tel me there’s 2 more ‘quality signings’ coming in the next few days. Lets hope its these pair, davies especially seems a class act.

Excellent news…. I agree with Keiran’s comment about Doughty. You cant say he hasnt put his money where his mouth is.
We SHOULD be one hell of a team this season! I reckon its “shit or bust” and lets hope its not the latter!!

I am more looking forward to Cohen than Davies if the rumour turns out to be true. I think he has been consistently Yeovils best player through the last season. Young, talented players who would be at home in the championship, Its time to get excited again!!!!!
