News tidbits for the playoffs..

I’ve been a bit distracted of late, that’s not to say the looming playoff date hasn’t been firmly in the foreground in my mind – but alas, I’ve not been around a computer too much lately.  So to sum up, a few bits and pieces have happened whilst I’ve been otherwise engaged.

Alan Wright has extended his loan to be available for the playoffs – which is great news, and thanks to both him and Sheffield United for enabling this to happen.  Indeed, Wrighty even postponed his summer holiday plans to help us out.  Top bloke, we salute you, Mini-Me!

Spencer Weir-Daley is back from his latest loan with Bradford.  It’s not the most exciting news in the world, but it’s invaluable cover for our strikers should we need it – if there was ever a time for Spencer to make his mark, the playoffs would be it!

John Thompson and Kevin James are also presumably available since their loans have also expired, although I can’t see either player really likely to feature in the plans of Smoulders, but I suppose they are there incase there’s a ‘lasagne’ incident prior to a game.

And finally.. today’s news is that there are a few hundred tickets for friday’s clash at Huish Park still available and will go on general sale tomorrow – I suspect they’ll be snapped up soon enough too, so if you haven’t got your ticket yet, or are teetering on the brink of deciding whether to go or not, then make your mind up and get down to the ticket office tomorrow!

  1. Thommo knows where the goal is. Might be a good squad addition.

  2. ‘lasagne’ incident?

  3. The shits Gareth! In fact if you think about it….the Shits got the shits! :-)

  4. Ah, so its all actually Platts fault … old Italian players sabotaged our team under his leadership once, but now the secret operative Italian chef he installed in the NFFC canteen is sabotaging our promotion efforts by means of subversive pasta based squits tactics!

  5. Its ALWAYS Platts fault!!!

I somehow wonder he has the audacity to sit as “an expert pundit” on some of this Sky footy programme.

Coz lets face it hes an absolute TWAT!

  6. Our site is cool, but also yours is very nice too
