It’s been a big year for Lewis McGugan – he’s started to stake a serious claim for a first team place with some impressive performances for the Reds, and now he’s achieved a further honour this season by winning the Forest goal of the season competition (seems a bit premature to be announcing it – what if John Curtis takes the ball around 10 opponents before rifling it into the top corner with a left-footed back-heel against Crewe?).
But Lewis’s matchwinning freekick against Gillingham was pretty special, so hearty congratulations to him and hopefully this can fill him with confidence to take in to our (hopefully) final game against Crewe, and if it’s not to be our final game, then into the lottery of the playoffs. And because I think it bears posting again, let’s watch it again!

Oh yes, well done Lewis. To me, he is among the contestants for the Player of the Year award as well. Any inside info on it?

Well, I think my man Jack Lester has a good shot too.
nffc, what about a new post on the new away kit? As far as I’m concerned, too big a fuss for near to nothing… (Have you noticed that the Brazilian one has been doing pretty well of late? Maybe it is ALSO an omen that our chances are turning around…
I’m quite unexcited by the away kit to be honest, perhaps I might consider it further later when I’ve finished at work.
