Millwall FC – 1
Nottingham Forest – 0
Millwall deservedly walked out with all three points against the ever-inconsistent Forest boys today, in a fairytale writers dream – ex-Forest scapegoat Neil Harris bagging the only goal of the game. If a neutral watching the game were told one team had nothing left to play for, and another were still with a chance of taking an automatic promotion spot – they would’ve had the Lions down for the team chasing promotion.
The first half is best forgotten – Forest contributed absolutely fuck all in such an important game, allowing Millwall countless dangerous opportunities particularly at the start and the end of the half. Ryan Smith – on loan from the Sheepshaggers – doing particularly well down the left flank – he hit the crossbar accidently with a cross. Forest went in at half time having not had a shot on target.
The second half saw Ryan Smith continue to cause trouble, and was put clear by Neil Harris only to fluff his chance. Again Millwall hit the woodwork via Marvin Elliot. Shortly after this a rare Forest foray forward saw a Commons long-ranger beat the giant Pidgeley (who, whilst a good keeper, is an arsehole) only to end up wide of the post to the disappointment of Kris.
At the other end the awkward looking Hubertz put a surprisingly brilliant cross only Neil Harris’ head to convert from 6 yards, almost inevitably. Almost immediately after a cleverly quick-taken freekick from Jack gave Kris another sight on goal, this time he again beat Pidgeley but unfortunately this time struck the woodwork.
A bizarre substitution saw Bennett introduced for Alan Wright, and Tyson on for Lester. Grant had a few attempts at getting the ball under control before finding Commons who this time was unable to connect well allowing Pidgeley to clear easily. Again Commons was guilty of a miss when he ran through onto Prutton’s cross but shot rightfooted over the ball.
Very disappointing indeed from Forest. Very disappointing. When it comes to the crunch, as we’ve seen before, we’ve been let down again – today we could have made up two points on Bristol City, alas, instead we have lost another point’s ground on them as we allowed Millwall the Lion’s share (sorry!) of the game today – we need a BIG improvement infront of a BIG crowd on monday, Forest, or you really will have blown it.

Its sickening how forest can fight and produce good football one minute and raise our hopes and theirs and then just not bother.Rotheram under their new manager got a vital win today, and if forest blow it again on monday in front of a big crowd,I dont think any of the players will want to play for forest in this division next year.Come on forest.Give us EVERYTHING in the next 5 games……

Mr Positive is here for you: Remember this was actually the only game where I felt we could lose points (did I mention Leyton Orient too? don’t remember). Thing is, we certainly can get five wins in the remaining games against teams already relegated or with nothring to play for. 5×3=15 and here we go. Anyway I’d like to point out that the division has become a lot more difficult; last season Southend got automatically promoted on 82 pts (as many as Scunny already have now) and Colchester on 79. Forest has two more than last season already, and 3rd place Brentford had 76, which I think we are certain to overtake. Now the last thing I would like to see is a full house booing against Rotherham. Remember you read it here – Forest beats Rotherham and Brizzle City loses in Gillingham on a goal by Felix Bastians!!! Have a nice Easter Sunday everyone.

The fact we are suffering going forward was far too evident today. I’ve been saying all season its down to lack of movement – Grant Holt thats you – and support from the midfield – Perch and Gary Holt thats you.
Commo had a strange game. He did well in creating the lions share of our opportunities, but lacked the composure to stick em in. He then started to play the game on his own and got frustrated when he got tackled, which got the fans on his back. He was also getting caught in possession a lot. He needs to stop trying too hard.
It was evident today that fans around me and players alike have lost belief. If we can’t get that back, we may loose promotion too.

NFFC, Lenny Pidgeley did what anyone else would have done in his situation. What was sickening was the moronic fan who grabbed the ball when it went out, faked to give it to Jules for the throw it and then turned to try and fling it into the top tear.
When Jules took the throw he was subject to coins, programmes and god knows what else thrown at him from out of the crowd.
Well done to Bennett for braving that, but the FA better come down damn bloody hard on the pricks that did that because the brainless gypsies behind that behavour will just confine the rest of us to sit behind bars again to watch a football match.
Wankers.

With Pidgeley I was thinking more of his gesturing at the end of the game rather than that particular incident.
I doubt the FA will do anything about the coin throwing.

So which bloody genius down at Forest let Neil Harris play against us today, why didn’t we do what we did with Nicky Southall and put something in the terms when we sold them that they can’t play against us this season. Every Forest fan knew he would score against us because it always bloody happens, also why is it, players can never score for forest but when they leave or go out on loan they score a bloody hatfull? Wier Daley? Bastians? Marlon King? Neil Bloody Harris I mean come on Neil bloody Harris??????
Saying that it is a sad state of affairs when you think Forest shouldn’t have allowed Harris to play??? Are we really that shite????
That is one win in 11 on the road, don’t deserve to go up, can’t even be arsed to go Monday now, was looking forward to it but like our pathetic excuse of a team, can’t be arsed to put the effort in to go and support them.

Its simple now………, we need 5 wins out of 5 games. And of course Bristol to f*ck up…..
Everyone of the remaining games is winnable but hey this is Forest, We NEVER do things the easy way!
I despair sometimes!

We need 5 wins in 5 games, I think Millwall were the hardest opponents that we have left, and they proved that easily. We can do it, We just need Bristol City to drop points, BIG TIME!!!

I think the fans have lost a lot of faith since loosing such a comfortable lead at the top of the table. We’ve missed our chance and I’m resigned to the play offs. After about 15 mins today the people around me at the game were really giving players some serious stick. Some were getting down right nasty, if we don’t make automatic I seriously hope the fans disappointment doesn’t become a huge boo fest if every thing isn’t going right. Commons was guilty of trying to win the game by himself at times when he could and should have played others in, was he reacting to the stick? We should win on Monday but I’d like the fans to be more positive no matter how fustrating watching Forest is.

I haven’t said much recently, because my predictions always go awry, and I had this down as a win for us. It just goes to show.
I think we will do well in our last 5 games, as most of you predict, but we won’t catch Brizzle now. I’m afraid that means we will be in this division next year, because we haven’t got the stomach for the playoffs. We’re too inconsistent, and teams like Oldham know how to beat us. We need to win handsomely at home to blackpool in the hoem leg of the semis, because we will lose away. And I can’t see us beating Oldham at Wembley – although I’ll go anyway, since I haven’t seen Forest win at Wembley yet!
I’m looking for at least a 3-0 win tomorrow, to build us back up again. Gillingham can’t beat an egg at the moment (they wen’t behind to Brentford, for goodness sake), and Brizzle will make mincemeat of them. Our only hope is the South-West derby next weekend – if Yeovil can beat Brizzle (who are playing better than Scunthorpe) then we’ve just got to make up 2 points in 3 games. Brizzle’s only tough game is Millwall, but Harris won’t score against them.
