Felix returns to the fold..
Felix Bastians is back at the City Ground, his loan spell with Halifax Town having ended - rather than being recalled as reported elsewhere - so presumably either Halifax opted not to extend the loan, or Forest deigned not to allow it. I suspect the former rather than the latter. He’s expected to start featuring regularly for the reserves any time soon - although personally I wouldn’t expect a first team appearance for a while!
Felix came to the fore under Gary Megson, but has yet to feature under Smoulds, instead being sent on a series of loan moves to gather experience and match practice. His latest loan at Halifax saw him appear nine times, netting four goals - which isn’t a bad return. Whilst I’d argue Krissy Commons has hardly been setting the world alight lately, I don’t think that he’ll be losing any sleep over Felix returning to Nottingham.

From what i’ve seen of him he’s got some talent and can certainly cross a ball. Possible just lacking strength at our level.

He looks alright from what I’ve seen of him, likes to get the ball - he just needs a bit of match practice and some experience

Hi nffc, glad Felix is back but this is not my point of interest right now. I think you should open a topic on Player of the Year, coz the vote is coming up soon and I am puzzled about whom I should vote for… I think no player has really risen above the others like Paul Gerrard or Ian Breckin did in the seasons before. The fact that Grolt is our top scorer doesn’t really make him qualify for the honour in my own eyes, while, let’s say, Bennett, Morgan, Tyson, Agogo or Smith have had their good days and their bad days. I think it would make an interesting and timely topic. Wouldn’t you? Greetings from overseas, hope to come over for the Millers game, if so I will email you because I would like to meet you in person. Cheers.

Gosh, I forgot Jack Lester who is my fav player! Sorry Jack…

Yeah, tricky one that vassilis. But Jack hasnt played much this season, although when he has he transforms the team. Up to a couple of weeks ago i would have voted for sammy, but to me a ‘player of the year’ needs to be just that…for a year. So bearing that in mind i’d have to vote for perchy, who has played almost all season, tried his best in difficult circumstances (center-mid, right-mid etc) and apart from some dodgy shooting i reckon he’s been as good as anyone.
