some people only comment following a dire performance, so dont expect bobred to reply JG!
Personally i reckon wright did well on saturday. He took a few minutes to adjust, but then combined well with the rest of the team, particularly with the passes into feet.
And i thought chambers for the most part looked the real deal, a proper defender. nice to see a defender finding one of his own players (no offence to wes, who i think has played very well this season considering his partner...)
Now lets push on, get prutton fit and take it to bristol

Bobred, some perspective please. Wright is a SHORT-TERM signing to cover a SHORT-TERM problem.

He won't be here beyond the end of the season, so what's the harm?

I think this signing is a discrace. Even the sheep had him on loan last season and threw him out.

He's old, knackered and this signing shows a total lack of ambition.

Is Alan Wright really going to get us promoted??? If calderwood stopped worrying about his defence so much, played some football and attacked we might stand a better chance!

Well said NFFC. I have read on some other forums people outright criticising CC because Wright isn't an attacking midfielder, almost to the point of suggesting that we shouldn't have bothered.

I would like to have seen Vickerton given a chance at left back, but now probably isn't the best time to be experimenting with inexperienced players in the back four and CC has shown some nouse so far in knowing which youngsters to bring into the first team...e.g. McGugan.
