Former Forest waster Marlon King was arrested in the early hours of New Years Day after an altercation in The Penthouse Club in Leicester square. The troublesome striker – who of course, has already spent time in the clink for driving a stolen car – has been bailed to appear in court in February, and laughably tried to hide the incident from Watford manager Adrian Boothroyd until very recently.
He was accused of assault and ABH on an as-yet-unnamed victim, and very little detail around the actual circumstances of the incident have been released – but it’s another chapter in the dodgy history of the player. At Forest he was undoubtedly talented, but also troubled – whether through homesickness or poor attitude he didn’t appear motivated to put in regular performances – although it’s fair to say that since he moved on to Watford he was rejuvenated and fired the goals that took the Hornets to promotion.
Can’t say I’m too surprised to hear he’s in trouble again, and whilst it grates that we sold him for half the amount we paid for him, and he was a genuinely talented striker, that’s the kind of attitude that no dressing room really needs. Of course, he’s out injured for the remainder of this season so has plenty of time on his hands to concentrate on his forthcoming legal activities – but perhaps brawling in a nightclub isn’t the best way to recuperate, eh, Marlon? Thanks to Bedfordred for alterting me to the story!

Shame he didnt show any “fight” when with us
This suprises me,
The only thing he represented at Forest was a Chicken!!!!
One performance, at Rotherham in particular come to mind, anyone remember? In our relegation season, He was totally gutless.
In his defence I will never forget the winner he scored against West Ham at the City Ground following Sir Brain’s Passing.
That was certainly a magic moment – I can’t help but think there was some divine intervention at play there.
Down with the Watford, you’re going down with the Watford. That man has a serious allergy to the Championship – every time he is about to play in it he gets himself banged up or relegated!
I’m not sure about divine intervention NFFC, I doubt if even the great man himself could have got a good performance out of ‘King’ Marlon II.
