Ronnie Moore: “Forest buggered me up!”

Ronnie Moore, the belligerent old grinch in charge at Tranmere Rovers, has put forward an interesting conspiracy theory relating to our recalling of John Thompson from his second month on loan with the almost-Scousers. He was asked about the move following Tranmere’s disappointing draw with Brentford, and came out with the following diatribe:

“I think it’s awful when they do it – he’s gone back to sit on the bench which is a shame.” Ronnie fumed.

“To allow the second month and then call him back ten days into it, not because of injuries, but basically to probably bugger us up more than anything, knowing that we’re short on defenders. But it happens.

“I thank him (Calderwood) for letting us have him obviously, but then I feel a little betrayed that he’s taken him back when really there is no need. I think he probably had a panic on.”

Sheesh, there’s gratitude for you, eh? Hopefully we won’t loan any more players to the ungrateful old bugger in the future – unless they’d like to take Gino Padula, of course! Tranmere are up against Crewe on Friday, so hopefully they’ll put up more of a fight than they did against us at the weekend!

  1. Where is padula these days? Does he even play in the reserves? the under 12s?

  2. nah, think he plays for the ladies why that dated hairstyle he has.

  3. You’re a funny writer! “Sheesh” :)

  4. I’m not interested in Ronnie Moore – but ShelbyCockrell, is that your real picture ::)

  5. I agree with Ronnie – when will you Forest fans realise your club is well past it and need to pull stunts like this to squeeze your way back up the lower leagues?
    Come on Rovers!!

  6. I hardly think that we really did anything to “squeeze our way” back up the lower leagues; top and well clear without him, brought back as cover… we realise quite well that were are not what we once were, but dearie me, if you really think we occupy the top spot because we recalled Thommo then you are deluded!
