After the scare of only being able to see through one eye, Nathan Tyson has been given the all clear to join the squad to face Crewe Alexandra at the weekend. This will come as a huge relief to Smoulders and Forest fans alike, who had to endure a fairly toothless front line performance against AFC Bournemouth on tuesday evening at the Fitness First stadium.
Tyson picked up the injury after a collision with Cherries keeper Neil Moss early in tuesday’s game; and despite bravely attempting to carry on his vision progressively deteriorated until he had to throw in the towel and be substituted for Neil Harris. By the end of the game his vision was normalising and he’d been checked over and given the all clear by the Bournemouth doctor.
He’s a must-start if available for me, particularly if Junior Agogo is still unavailable to take a place in the starting eleven – so fingers crossed he has indeed made a full recovery!
