Young defender Vincent Fernandez has made a deadline day switch to Blackpool to cover for the injury of Marc Joseph, so he should get to opportunity to get more first team football under his belt, despite forcing his way onto the fringes of the first team with appearances in cup games, and on the bench in league encounters.
He was loaned out to Wycombe Wanderers earlier in the season – and at 20, it’s starting to get towards make or break time for him at Forest; that said, his game against Brentford in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy he showed signs of promise – particularly in the air – although he was nutmegged by Kuffour in the leadup to their goal!
In other news, I’ve apparently been shortlisted to be sent to Japan to blog about the World Club Cup – I’ve been a bit slow off the mark to realise this, and as such the voting deadline is today – so if you’d like to send me to Japan, then click here and vote for this blog, or any of the other excellent sites that may catch your eye on the voting form!

Thanks very much, Pat! I don’t think I stand much chance as the poll’s been open for a week and I only just realised!
Still, it’d be a laugh, wouldn’t it?
Good luck, hope you make it. Watch out for the radio active sushi though.
