Ross Gardner off to Vale

Ross Gardner’s injury recuperation has gone on tour up the A50 to Port Vale, giving the youngster a chance to regain fitness and get some first team football into the bargain – a good move for him, I think – it’s only for a month initially, and whilst it’s to a league rival as with Thompson’s recent move, I can’t see it giving them a sufficient boost to make any real different to their league standing.

Gardner hasn’t featured for Forest this season largely due to injury, although given the run of form the side are on, he’d face an uphill struggle to force his way into first team reckoning.  The loan opportunity is probably a real make-or-break kind of chance for him, he’s out of contract at the end of the season – so he needs to start to get games under his belt in some shape or form if he wishes to be retained by Forest beyond this season.

And he could get off to a dream start – he may get the chance to play against Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane in the Carling Cup!  Hopefully he grasps this chance and does well (but not too well, afterall, we wouldn’t want another promotion rival, no matter how remote the chance!), as he’s shown glimpses of promise with his past involvement with Forest.  Good luck, Ross.

  1. I have got a proposal for you.

How would you feel about me showcasing your blogs on Vital. Maybe not all of them, but we need a good original writer. Essentially, this would mean you carrying on in your merry little blog world, without writing specifically for us, and more people reading your good commentary.

Sorry to keep the Poaching attempt up, but I dont want to give up on a good writer.

  2. I don’t really see the need to reproduce stuff in more than one place – if you find something interesting why not just post a link to it in your forum?

It would be a boring world if everyone only wrote for one website!
