There were scuffles before the game, unsurprisingly when nearly 5,000 away fans come to town without adequate arrangements made about exactly what to do with them before the game – but it wasn’t until after that a full-blown riot kicked off on Radcliffe Road between the respective meat-heads from Forest and Bristol, leaving the Amici [...]

Nottingham Forest – 1 Bristol City – 0 The top versus second clash ended true to our initial placings, as a spectacular first half Nicky Southall freekick scored at the Bridgford End was enough to secure the points for Forest, consolidating our position at the top of the table, and giving us a rather welcome [...]

It’s been a while since I’ve posted one of these, so it’s high time we had another one! This one’s quite commonly heard sung by Forest fans (well, not only Forest fans, but we don’t often hear it directed at us) all around the country on their travels, and in particular you might hear it [...]

Bristol will come to the City Ground on better form than the Reds, who as we all know have had rather a wobble in form lately, particularly at home. Bristol’s away form is pretty impressive, so it’s a worrying fixture for the mighty Reds. Of course, it is also a top-of-the-table first versus second clash [...]

Midfielder Ross Gardner has now reportedly resumed full training following a niggly thigh injury. The former Newcastle youngster has had a frustrating time of it lately, and it’s easy to forget he has already made fifteen first team appearances for the mighty reds. Some of his past performances have impressed me, so it will be [...]

Nicky Southall has spoken of a potential return to Gillingham for a third spell with the Kent club. His family are apparently due to move back down south after Christmas, and given his ties to the area it’s where the right winger is planning on settling. Southall’s contract with Forest expires at the end of [...]

The second round draw of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy sees us drawn against fellow Southerners (sic) Brentford FC, fortunately at the City Ground rather than down at Brentford. Forest of course overcame Gillingham yesterday evening, winning 2-1 in normal time. Brentford had a similarly not-particularly local localised tie at Northampton, which they won on penalties [...]

Gillingham – 1 Nottingham Forest – 2 Priestfield has proven a happy hunting ground for Forest for the second time in a week, and the picture to the left probably resembles what it looked like tonight (aside from the daylight!). The mighty Reds ran out 2-1 victors in the Johnstones Paint Trophy tie this evening, [...]

There are scary whisperings doing the rounds that Calderwood spent Sunday at Easter Road watching the Edinburgh derby – and rather shockingly, the focus of his attention is reportedly former Forest loanee Michael Stewart, the former Manchester United midfielder who endured a rather unpopular stint with the mighty Reds under Paul Hart after the playoff [...]

The latest bid to raise funds for the Brian Clough statue fund is the launch of a batch of limited edition key-rings, depicting the great man’s iconic green sweatshirt with a number 1, and ‘Old Big ‘Ead.’ They make a great addition to the thousands of badges that the Statue Fund Committee have already sold [...]
