Nicky Eaden is apparently set to enter negotiations to make his loan move to Lincoln City a permanent affair during the january transfer window. The much maligned former Wigan right back has been enjoying a new lease of life with the Imps, and is reportedly valued both on and off the pitch by the staff at Lincoln.
Eaden’s Forest career was somewhat forgettable, with a series of dreadful performances (admittedly amongst dreadful team performances) under Gary Megson, before being largely ignored by both Charlie & Frank as well as Colin Calderwood, which obviously ended up with him moving out on loan originally.
Whilst he’s done little to impress me in a Reds shirt, hopefully the move can go ahead and both club and player can draw a line under our unfortunate association with one another - I don’t particularly with Nicky any malice and hope he goes on to have a better time elsewhere, because for whatever reason it sure as hell wasn’t working out for him here!
