The Imps Eaden project

Nicky EadenMuch-maligned fullback Nicky Eaden has signed a month’s loan deal with League Two outfit Lincoln City.  Certainly the former-Wigan man has fallen considerably out of favour at Forest, so will be hoping to reignite his career elsewhere.

I don’t have quite so much vitriol as some fans for Eaden, certainly I’ve uttered a few curses toward him during games, but I always got the impression that under Megson he was acting under orders rather than playing his natural game – certainly from speaking to Wigan fans they were surprised at how poor he sounded.

But for whatever reason, certainly his performances in a red shirt were well below what we’d expect even at this low level, so I reckon it’s best for both parties if he moves on – even if only for a month initially.

Still, if he was feeling left out at missing the chance to play Accrington Stanley, he might get his chance afterall – since they are Lincoln’s opponents at the weekend!
