Colin Calderwood has deservedly picked up manager of the month for August, after guiding the mighty reds to the top of League One in an undefeated month - if we ignore the not inconsiderable blemish of a first round cup exit at the hands of Accrington Stanley.
He beat competition particularly from Martin Foyle at Port Vale, but their defeat at the weekend enabled unbeaten Forest to take the top spot after a hard fought draw away at Huddersfield.
Certainly the great start we wanted this season from the new gaffer, so fingers crossed the ‘curse’ associated with these awards isn’t too obvious as we go into a match-packed September! Well done Colin, fully deserved – now keep up the good work!
