We are top of the league..

… probably only for a couple of hours or so, but still!

Huddersfield Town – 1
Nottingham Forest – 1

Grant Holt scored in the first half, in the aftermath of a melee caused by a Sammy Clingan freekick getting deflected into the danger area by Julian Bennett, and Forest were looking comfortably on course to continue their 100% start to the campaign.

Unfortunately the second half didn’t pan out like that, with increased possession and danger from the home side, ultimately resulting in them hitting the bar after a great save from Paul Smith, only for the ball to fall kindly for Taylor-Fletcher to put into the onion bag.

Whilst obviously I’d like the win, if you’d asked me at the start of the season whether I thought 13 points from the first 15 available was good enough, I would have probably collapsed in hysterics before snapping off the proverbial hand. So ultimately, I’m still pretty chipper – 5 games in, unbeaten, and top of the league, pending Port Vale’s result against Yeovil later today.
