    • Leaving #nffc 'til last and hearing Claridge waffle for aeons means we'll probably only see three of Gunter's misses... 1 day ago
    • Much improved, but still only one point.. #nffc put up a fight but are still well adrift http://t.co/fJvCXrLR 1 day ago
    • An improvement, but just not enough. Findley missed a sitter, and Gunts - for all his effort - is NOT a winger/attacker #nffc 1 day ago
    • If you want to sign the book of condolence at the City Ground tomorrow it'll be in reception 10am-noon, then the Study Support Centre #nffc 2 days ago

Accrington Stanley? Who are they?

Accrington Stanley – 1
Nottingham Forest – 0

accrington.jpgWe can still hear the whining Scouse tones of the pinch-faced lad justifying his drinking milk to his mate all the way back from the eighties.. perhaps. Whilst it’s caused much mirth around the footballing world to see ‘sleeping giants’ or ‘former European champions’ humbled by a team that was the epitome of shite for so many of us in the 1980′s, to be honest, I’m not that bothered.

I didn’t venture to the game, but by all accounts it wasn’t inspiring – but frankly, are we ever likely to win the Carling Cup? No. So why worry about taking it seriously or not – sure, a cup run can be lucrative, but it can also create injury problems, tiredness and all that goes with it – the most important thing for us right now is to get our arses out of League One. So bollocks to the Carling Cup, the FA Cup, and definitely the LDV Vans trophy (or whatever it’s called now) and let’s keep our league run intact!
